More to Consider

Things to consider when you find the right apartment, but before you sign anything or pay anyone money.

Broker Info

If you are using a broker to help you find an apartment, make sure the broker is licensed. In addition, the Fairness in Apartment Rental Expenses (FARE) Act prohibits brokers who represent landlords from charging broker fees to tenants. This includes brokers who publish listings with the landlord’s permission. Landlords or their agents must disclose other fees that the tenant must pay in their listings and rental agreements. See our Broker Info webpage.
